My First Press: Walt Disney World Day Two

JUNE 10th

Tiana's Bayou Adventure

TODAY IS THE DAY!!!! I headed to Magic Kingdom Park for the main event: Tiana's Bayou Adventure. The excitement was palpable as I joined the "Dig A Little Deeper Showcase" at the Hall of Presidents. This exclusive media event offered a deep dive into the magic coming to Walt Disney World Resort, with live entertainment and exclusive reveals that made me feel like I was part of Disney history. Surprise! A Tiana series on Disney+ is coming soon!

Exploring the queue space of Tiana's Bayou Adventure was like stepping into a storybook. I discovered unique storytelling moments and learned about the new elements created for the attraction from Walt Disney Imagineering spokespeople. The attention to detail was astounding, and I felt fully immersed in the world of "The Princess and the Frog."

OKAY NOW TIME FOR THE RIDE! The ride was exhilarating, and fun and I’ve got two keepsakes to prove it. My very own photo courtesy of Disney Pass and right when I got off the ride ABC News 7 asked for genuine commentary on the ride.

INTERVIEWS

After a long and fun day at Magic Kingdom I got to interview the stars from the iconic Princess & The Frog film including Jenifer Lewis and Anika Noni Rose.

Disney Dreams That Soar

As the sun began to set, I made my way to Disney Springs, for a reserved viewing of Disney Dreams That Soar in collaboration with AT&T. I turned my eyes to the skies above as a breathtaking show unfolded, featuring beloved Disney characters and music. Over 700 drones danced in the night sky, choreographed beautifully to celebrate the joy of flight. It was a stunning spectacle that perfectly captured the magic of Disney!

Private Concert with Tank & The Bangas

10 PM

Later that evening, I headed to the House of Blues at Disney Springs for a private concert with Tank & The Bangas. Doors opened at 10:15 p.m., and I was ready to sing and dance along to the live music from this Grammy Award-nominated group from New Orleans. Their vibrant performance, featuring songs that contributed to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, was the perfect way to celebrate the night. The energy in the room was infectious, and I felt completely immersed in the rhythm of New Orleans.

FIN

As I reflect on this unforgettable experience, I can't help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude. The magic of Disney is not just in the attractions or the shows; it's in the connections we make and the memories we create. From the joyous laughter shared with fellow Disney fans to the awe-inspiring performances that brought beloved characters to life, every moment was a reminder of the power of storytelling and community. The grand opening of Tiana's Bayou Adventure was more than just an attraction; it was a celebration of culture, creativity, and the spirit of New Orleans. Meeting the talented artists who contributed to the mural and savoring the flavors of NOLA made me appreciate the dedication that goes into crafting these experiences.

As I was packing my bags, I felt a sense of joy and fulfillment. The memories I made during this event will stay with me forever, a testament to the magic that Disney brings into our lives. I can’t wait to return to Walt Disney World Resort and continue this journey of wonder and adventure. Until next time, I’ll carry the spirit of Tiana's Bayou Adventure in my heart, knowing that the magic of Disney is always just a visit away.
